I think Dred Scott was a strong person.I say this because he never gave up.After all the years of fighting for his rights he stayed true to himself and continues his case. That is why I think he is a strong person.

According to paragraph 13 it said that he continued to fight in the united states circuit court. But in 1854 that court stated that scott and his family are still slaves. Also that Missouri had some times freed slaves that have lived in there for a long period of time.

I think he was a strong individual because even though the court kept saying no to letting him free he kept fighting and fighting for his freedom.

Dred Scott was a strong individual. Why? Because he has fought for freedom. He also went to Supreme court but he wasn't accepted. The second time he went, he was now accepted. Dred Scott did not get to enjoy his one year of freedom. He also helped his family, too.

I do think Dred Scott was a strong individual. I say this because in paragraph eight it says he was in his forties but he never gave up. Another reason I say this is because on paragraph nine he asked a court in Missouri and was a brave thing to do. Lastly why i say he is a strong individual is because on paragraph fifteen he did a case in the supreme court. He won and lost the case at the same time and on paragraph 19 sadly he could've only live one year of freedom before death.

I think Dred Scott was a strong individual because on pg 16 paragraph 13 it says, "Scott didn't give up.He continued his fight in the United States Circuit." If he wasn't a strong individual why would he continue has fight for his freedom? Dred Scott is strong individual because on pg 17 paragraph 14 it says, "Still, Scott fought on. In December 1854 he took his case to the highest court in the land, the United States Supreme Court." Therefore Dred Scott is a VERY strong individual.

I believe that he was a strong man, because he had such strong feelings.I say that because in the passage in the passage he does not care what gets in his way, he still wants to get freedom.

I think Dred Scott was a strong individual because he never gave up on his freedom. Then one day he actually got what he deserved.According to the text it says,on paragraph 14 it says,"In December 1854 he took his case to the highest court in the land, the United States Supreme Court.

I think he was a strong man because he never gave up when he was turned down so many times. Also because he was brave enough to fight for his freedom and to have equal rights. So that is why I think he is a strong man.

I honestly think that Dred scott is and was strong.I say this because,in the text it repetedly said Dred scott never gave up. It also took him about 10 years to get freedom. He also went to a lot of courts just for his and his familys freedom.

I think Dred Scott was a weak individual because he got his freedom for 1 year with his family. In the passage, in paragraph 18, it says Peter blow, purchased the SCOTTS, and then set them free. Its not like Dred Scott escaped by himself. He escaped with his family. He's a weak individual IF no one was there with him. Then, he died and because he was to ill. Maybe he was to weak and got ill. So that's why I think he is a weak individual.

I think Dred Scott was a strong individual. I say this because he was turned down several times when he asked for freedom, but never gave up. He showed perseverance during difficult times. His owner died and he still was not given his freedom. He lived in free states and he was still not given his freedom. This is why I think Dred Scott was a strong individual.

I think Dred Scott was a strong individual.According to paragraph 13 it says that did not give up and continued his case in more courts. In paragraph 14 it says that Scott took his case to the supreme court of the United States but lost his case. The descendants of Dred Scott's real owner purchased Dred and his family and the set them free.

I think that Dred Scott was a strong individual because he fought for his freedom and never gave up. He worked hard to be free and when the judges said no to his freedom he tried harder. So that is why I think that Dred Scott was a strong individual.

I think Dred Scott is strong.I say this because he went through real hardships but never gave up on his legal fight for freedom.Another reason why I say Dred Scott is strong is because at the end hi first owner Peter Blow purchased Scott and set him free but adly he died 1 year after he was freed on September 17,1858.

I think Dred Scott was a strong individual. I say this because, according to the text, Dred Scott was already going to court trying to get his freedom back. But they said "no" so they went to another court and still "no". Then Dred Scott went to the Supreme Court still "NO!" So with all those years of just hearing "no" I think that really declares that he is a really strong individual because that must have been really hurtful and sad that they wouldn't give him his freedom.

I would say that yes,Dred Scott was a strong person.According in paragraph 12,he took his whole thing into a new level which he ended up in the Supreme Court. Then it says in paragraph 14,''Ten years passed since Scott had started his legal fight for freedom.''Lastly in paragraph 18,it says ''Peter Blow, purchased the Scotts and then set them free.A free man at last ,then he became ill after a year gaining his freedom.''So he didn't have much time to celebrate his freedom.

I think Dred Scott was a strong individual. i say this because, according to paragraph 4 it says, " The Dred Scott case would decide the fate of just one man, an African American who was fighting for freedom from slavery...". Scott also was let down a lot of times when he went to court to ask for freedom. According to paragraph 10 it says," Some say that Scott may have tried to buy his freedom from Emerson's widow, but that she refused. This is why i say that Dred Scott was a very strong individual that never gave up!

I believe that Dred Scott was a strong individual. I say this because in page 12 pargrarph 1 it says "Dred Scott an enslaved African American, had gone to court asking for his freedom in 1846. " He risked going to court to get his freedom.
